Justin functions as Backlot Imaging's production supervisor and principal operator. He also develops
and supervises freelance talent. Justin has experience across various production and
post-production roles. Previously, he worked at the Milwaukee Access Telecommunications
Authority, in Community Media Operations, where he produced television programming for
three cable channels local to Milwaukee on Time Warner Cable. His reponsibilities included
live event videography, studio direction, Avid editing, DVD authoring, graphics, and the
education of public access producers in the use of professional broadcast equipment.
Justin supervises work on both 2D and 3D graphics and animations for video, film, and
interactive applications. He designed and implemented Backlot Imaging's workflow for
processing digitized film for rig removal, compositing, and other visual effects, which includes
custom-built 64-bit workstations, and has significantly reduced physical plant costs.
Justin earned an undergraduate degree at Marquette University, with a major in Broadcast and
Electronic Communication and a minor in Computer Science. He enjoys science-fiction
applications of visual effects, as well as entertainment software development. Justin currently
resides in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
