Backlot Imaging provides a variety of visual effects services to a wide range of
projects. Tasks range from simple image manipulation to 3D digital content creation, or DCC.
Typical services include rig removal, rotoscoping, and blue or green screen compositing for feature films.
However, we can work with the full spectrum of formats, from Cineon digitized 35mm film frames, to HD and SD
video projects, in both 10-bit logarithmic color and 8-bit linear. Advanced capabilities include
3D graphics and animations for logos, spots, and virtual sets using
Discreet's 3ds max.
Our custom-built workstations utilize 64-bit AMD Opteron processors, much of the same
technology used on Star Wars Episode III. We also have a fully-loaded PowerMac G5 system,
for cross-platform compatibility and a comprehensive creative toolset.
